Poa pratensis pollen allergens are proteins that trigger allergic immune responses in sensitized individuals, and are not considered therapeutic targets in the traditional sense. Poa p 5 is a significant trigger of hay fever and allergic asthma, making it a marker for grass pollen sensitization testing.
