Poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing protein (PVRIG)

Target
PVRIG
Molecular classification
Poliovirus Receptor-Like Proteins, Receptor, Type I transmembrane protein, Immune checkpoint receptor
01

Overview

PVRIG (Poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing protein), also known as CD112R, is an immune checkpoint receptor expressed on T cells and NK cells. It binds to Nectin-2 (CD112/PVRL2) on antigen-presenting cells and tumor cells, delivering inhibitory signals that suppress T cell and NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. As such, PVRIG is a therapeutic target in cancer immunotherapy to enhance anti-tumor immunity.
