Target intelligence / Profile preview
Poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 (inactivated) refers to the inactivated forms of the three poliovirus serotypes used in the Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine (IPV). These inactivated viruses are non-infectious but retain their antigenic properties, allowing them to stimulate an immune response and protect against poliomyelitis. IPV induces systemic immunity by stimulating neutralizing antibodies.
Stimulates the production of neutralizing antibodies against poliovirus serotypes 1, 2, and 3, providing protection against paralytic polio.
