A poloxamer micelle matrix is a self-assembled structure formed by poloxamer triblock copolymers (PEO-PPO-PEO) in aqueous solution. It consists of a hydrophobic PPO core and a hydrophilic PEO corona. At sufficient concentrations and temperatures, the micelles organize into a gel-like matrix. It is primarily used as a drug delivery vehicle and tissue engineering scaffold due to its thermoreversible properties and biocompatibility. It's NOT a traditional 'target' in the biological sense like a receptor or enzyme, but rather a delivery system.
