The PSII polysaccharide antigen is a cell surface carbohydrate structure found on the bacterium *Clostridioides difficile*. It is a polyhexasaccharide, meaning it consists of repeating units of six sugar residues, and contains an immunogenic phosphate moiety that is key to its recognition by the immune system. All clinical strains of *C. difficile* express this antigen, making it a highly conserved and attractive target for vaccine development and serological studies.
