Potassium channel tetramerization domain-containing protein 14 (**KCTD14**) is a human protein belonging to the KCTD family, which is characterized by a conserved N-terminal BTB/POZ domain important for protein-protein interactions and self-assembly of the proteins[2][5][12]. While its name comes from sequence similarity to potassium channel tetramerization domains, KCTD14 does not form potassium channels but is regarded as a supporting member of a protein family involved in processes such as protein ubiquitination and transcriptional regulation, due to its BTB/POZ domain[2]. KCTD14 is predicted to participate in protein homooligomerization and may interact with complexes involved in protein modification or degradation, though its precise biological function remains uncharacterized[2][3][5][12].
