Potassium-transporting ATPase alpha chain 1 is a membrane-bound enzyme subunit crucial for ion transport and cellular homeostasis. It is associated with the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (ATP4A), which acidifies gastric juice, and the Na+/K+ ATPase (ATP1A1), which maintains sodium and potassium gradients across plasma membranes.
