PPIA pseudogene 93 (PPIAP93) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome that shares sequence similarity with the parental gene, peptidylprolyl isomerase A (cyclophilin A). It is located on chromosome 7. Like most pseudogenes, PPIAP93 does not encode a functional protein and is not considered a canonical therapeutic target. Research into pseudogene functions suggests that some pseudogenes can participate in gene regulation or act as competing endogenous RNAs, but there is no published evidence of such roles for PPIAP93. No aliases beyond its designated gene name exist, and there are no known molecular functions, disease involvements, or drug interactions associated with this pseudogene[1][4].
