Target intelligence / Profile preview
PPP4R2 pseudogene 2 (PPP4R2P2) is a processed pseudogene of the protein phosphatase 4 regulatory subunit 2 (PPP4R2) gene. It does not produce a functional protein product and has no known biological or therapeutic role. Unlike its functional counterpart (PPP4R2), which regulates protein phosphatase 4 activity and DNA double-strand break repair[1][3], PPP4R2P2, as a pseudogene, is generally considered non-functional. There is no evidence in current literature or gene databases indicating involvement in disease, drug interaction, or molecular function[2].
