PRAME family member 5 (PRAMEF5) is a member of the PRAME family of leucine-rich repeat proteins, primarily expressed in germline tissues and certain developmental contexts[5][7]. It is predicted to function as a substrate adaptor in the Cul2-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which facilitates ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation and may play a regulatory role in the cytoplasm[5][6]. Its specific function remains to be experimentally validated, but PRAME family proteins are known to participate in transcriptional repression, modulation of stem cell pluripotency, and the regulation of germ cell development[7]. PRAMEF5 is not currently a recognized therapeutic target, and no drugs or biomarkers are established for this gene[5].
