PRAME family member 8 (PRAMEF8) is a human protein in the PRAME (Preferentially Expressed Antigen in Melanoma) family, classified as a cancer/testis antigen. PRAMEF8 is predicted to act as a ubiquitin-like ligase substrate adaptor, participating in the proteasome-mediated degradation of proteins via the Cul2-RING ubiquitin ligase complex and is likely active in the cytoplasm. The PRAME protein family, including PRAMEF8, is notable for testis-restricted expression in normal tissues and broad upregulation in various cancers.
