PRICKLE2 divergent transcript (PRICKLE2-DT)

PRICKLE2 divergent transcript (PRICKLE2-DT) is an annotated long non-coding RNA gene located at the PRICKLE2 locus on chromosome 3. Unlike the protein-coding PRICKLE2 gene, PRICKLE2-DT is classified as a divergent transcript—a non-protein-coding RNA transcribed in the opposite direction from the PRICKLE2 gene. To date, there are no data supporting a therapeutic, receptor, transporter, or enzyme role, and there is no documented association with disease. Most scientific and therapeutic attention focuses on the PRICKLE2 protein, which has key functions in neuronal development and disease.
