Primary and secondary cytotoxicity does not refer to any specific molecule, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other canonical therapeutic target. Instead, it describes the general property of being toxic to cells—i.e., causing cell damage or death through processes such as necrosis or apoptosis. However, these are descriptive terms for biological outcomes rather than names for discrete molecular targets. Therefore this entry should be flagged as incorrect if used in place of an actual druggable protein/receptor/enzyme.
