Probable G protein-coupled receptor 152 (GPR152) is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor encoded by the *GPR152* gene on chromosome 11q13.2 in humans[1][2][7]. GPR152 is a member of the rhodopsin family of GPCRs, specifically the γ-receptor subfamily, and is predicted to function as a signal transducer in cell membranes, mediating cellular responses via G protein activation and subsequent elevation of intracellular cAMP levels[1][2][8]. While its endogenous ligand is unknown, GPR152 shares moderate sequence similarity with other GPCRs implicated in inflammatory responses. There is genetic evidence that variants in GPR152 are associated with susceptibility to diffuse-type gastric cancer, and the gene has also been linked in databases to some forms of deafness and intellectual disability[1][2]. No approved drugs, established mechanisms of action for targeting agents, validated biomarkers, or specific safety concerns have been reported for GPR152 as of this review[2][6][7].
