Target intelligence / Profile preview
Proline-rich coiled-coil protein 2B (PRRC2B) is an RNA-binding protein involved in mediating the translation of specific mRNAs that are essential for cell cycle progression and cell proliferation. It is predicted to participate in cell differentiation and in utero embryonic development. PRRC2B has been associated with some pathological conditions such as epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma and tethered spinal cord syndrome. As of now, no approved drugs are known to target this protein directly, and it is not generally recognized as a therapeutic target.
