Overview

Proline-rich protein 15-like protein (PRR15L) is a poorly characterized human protein encoded by the PRR15L gene (formerly known as ATAD4) on chromosome 17[4][7][8]. It is a proline-rich protein with uncertain biological function and no well-defined enzymatic or receptor activity. Expression profiling shows tissue distribution across several organs, including testis and the nervous system, but no specific or high functional annotation is available[6][8]. PRR15L has been associated in some studies with disease phenotypes (e.g., penile squamous cell carcinoma and entropion) but is not an established therapeutic target nor has it been linked to known active drugs or mechanism-of-action classes.
