Proline-rich protein 20A (PRR20A)

Proline-rich protein 20A is a member of a small gene family found in a cluster on human chromosome 13q21.1, which includes several highly similar paralogs (PRR20B, PRR20C, PRR20D, PRR20E). The encoded protein is rich in proline residues and is typically 73–221 amino acids in length, identifying it as part of the proline-rich protein family. Despite the presence of several PRINTS domains and predicted dopamine D4 receptor signatures, there is currently no evidence that PRR20A functions as a receptor or other typical therapeutic target, and its precise biological role, disease associations, and drug interactions remain uncharacterized.
