Proline-rich protein 30 (PRR30) is a protein-coding gene product encoded by the PRR30 gene (formerly known as C2orf53) in humans. It is characterized by a high content of proline residues, which are known in general to mediate protein–protein interactions through recognition by various domains such as SH3, WW, and EVH1. PRR30 itself has a molecular weight of approximately 43.4 kDa and the corresponding human UniProt accession is Q53SZ7. Current databases provide little functional annotation for PRR30, and there are no established disease associations, roles as a therapeutic target, or known drug interactions. The biological role of PRR30 remains largely uncharacterized.
