Prolyl-tRNA synthetase (ProRS) is an essential enzyme in protein synthesis, responsible for catalyzing the attachment of the amino acid proline to its corresponding tRNA (tRNA^Pro). This process, known as aminoacylation or "charging," is critical for accurate translation. It is a validated drug target against parasites such as Plasmodium spp., Toxoplasma gondii, Cryptosporidium spp.
