Prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) is a key intermediate in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. It is synthesized from arachidonic acid by cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. PGH2 itself acts primarily as a precursor and activates the thromboxane TP receptor. It is not considered a primary drug target, but rather a crucial intermediate in the eicosanoid pathway that is affected by drugs like NSAIDs. Thus, there is no 'Prostaglandin H2 receptor.'
