Target intelligence / Profile preview
Prostate cancer associated transcript 7 (PCAT7) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is upregulated in metastatic prostate cancer. Knockdown of PCAT7 leads to a substantial decrease in cell growth and anchorage-independent growth, suggesting a role in promoting tumor progression. It has also been implicated in other cancers such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and cervical cancer. PCAT7 is classified as a non-protein coding RNA and primarily acts at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulatory level[1][2][3][4][5][7].
