Target intelligence / Profile preview
Protein KRI1 homolog (KRI1) is a nucleolar protein required for the biogenesis of the 40S ribosomal subunit and is involved in the processing of pre-18S ribosomal RNA. It is a member of the KRI1 family, primarily functioning as part of the ribosome assembly machinery, and has been associated with RNA binding activities. Loss-of-function or mutations in KRI1 have been implicated in certain congenital syndromes and malformations, though it is not considered a typical drug target or therapeutic receptor.
