Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 12B pseudogene 1 (PPP1R12BP1) is a pseudogene corresponding to the functional gene PPP1R12B, which encodes a regulatory subunit of myosin phosphatase involved in muscle contraction and cell signaling[5]. Unlike PPP1R12B, PPP1R12BP1 does not encode a functional protein and does not serve as a therapeutic target.
