Target intelligence / Profile preview
Protein phosphatase 2A subunit B55alpha (PP2A-B55α) is a regulatory subunit of the serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) holoenzyme. PP2A is a major cellular phosphatase involved in the regulation of numerous signaling pathways, cell cycle progression, DNA repair, metabolism, and apoptosis. The B55α isoform shows broad tissue expression and plays critical roles in cell cycle regulation, DNA damage response, and metabolic adaptation by directing PP2A activity toward specific substrates.
Not applicable; regulatory subunit modulates PP2A enzyme activity
