Protein phosphatase inhibitor 2 family member B (PPP1R2B) is a protein encoded by the PPP1R2B gene in humans and is predicted to function as a protein phosphatase inhibitor, specifically implicated in the regulation of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1).[1][3] It is part of the PPP1R2 family, which is known to modulate intracellular signal transduction processes by inhibiting phosphatase activity. While classic PPP1R2 functions as a key PP1 regulator important in cell cycle and mitosis, PPP1R2B itself is less well characterized and may function similarly—its designation as a pseudogene in some contexts suggests uncertain or limited protein-coding function. There are currently no direct links to diseases, no known drug interactions, and no established biomarker or safety concerns specific to PPP1R2B.[1][3][5]
