Prothymosin alpha pseudogene 10 (PTMAP10) is one of several processed pseudogenes in the prothymosin alpha gene family. It is not known to produce a functional protein and shows no evidence of being expressed as mRNA in human tissues. Only the PTMA gene is functional; PTMAP10 and other pseudogenes have no confirmed biological activity or clinical relevance[1].
