Target intelligence / Profile preview
Prothymosin alpha pseudogene 15 (PTMAP15) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome, part of the prothymosin alpha gene family. Unlike the functional prothymosin alpha gene (PTMA), pseudogenes such as PTMAP15 do not encode a functional protein and are not considered active therapeutic targets. The PTMA gene family consists of one functional gene and several processed pseudogenes, including PTMAP15, which lack protein-coding function and have no direct disease association or known therapeutic relevance.
