Target intelligence / Profile preview
Prothymosin alpha pseudogene 3 (PTMAP3) is a processed human pseudogene related to the prothymosin alpha gene (PTMA). Unlike the functional PTMA gene, PTMAP3 does not encode a functional protein. While members of the prothymosin alpha family play roles in cell proliferation and immunity, PTMAP3 and other pseudogenes in this family do not produce mRNA or protein products in human tissues and have no known biological or disease associations.
