PcrV is a key protein component of the type III secretion system (T3SS) in *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. It forms the needle-tip complex of the T3SS translocon, which is essential for delivering effector proteins into host cells. PcrV interacts with chaperone protein PcrG within *P. aeruginosa*. Antibodies against PcrV have shown promise in protecting against *P. aeruginosa* infections, making it an attractive target for immunotherapy or vaccine development. Small molecules that block interactions involving PcrV can disrupt effector translocation.
