Pseudomonas Exotoxin A (PE)

Target
PE

Overview

Pseudomonas exotoxin A (PE), also known as exotoxin A or ETA, is a potent extracellular toxin produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It inhibits protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells by ADP-ribosylating elongation factor 2 (eEF2). Modified forms are used as cytotoxic payloads in immunotoxins targeting cancer cells.
