Target intelligence / Profile preview
PSIP1 pseudogene 1 (PSIP1P1) is a pseudogene in Homo sapiens and is not known to encode a functional protein[5][9]. It is related to the PSIP1 gene, which encodes the PC4 and SRSF1 interacting protein 1, also known for its roles in chromatin binding, transcriptional regulation, and cancer biology, but PSIP1P1 itself has no known protein product, function, or clinical significance. Pseudogenes are gene sequences similar to known genes but typically non-functional due to mutations or lack of regulatory elements. Therefore, PSIP1P1 is not considered a therapeutic target, nor is it known to be involved in disease mechanisms, drug interactions, or serve as a biomarker[5][9].
