Target intelligence / Profile preview
Putative G antigen family E member 3 (PAGE2B) is a member of the cancer/testis (CT) antigen family, encoded by the PAGE2B gene in humans. Structurally, it is a protein of unknown function with restricted normal tissue expression, reportedly limited to testis and prostate, while being aberrantly expressed in several types of tumors[4][5][10]. Like other CT antigens, PAGE2B is being investigated primarily for its role as a possible immunotherapeutic target or cancer biomarker. There are currently no known drugs or therapies directly targeting PAGE2B, and its precise biological role, molecular mechanism, and relevance in human disease beyond cancer association remain unclear[5][10].
