Target intelligence / Profile preview
Pyrophosphatase (inorganic) 1 pseudogene (PP1P) is a non-protein coding pseudogene found in the human genome. Unlike its protein-coding relative, PPA1 (inorganic pyrophosphatase 1), PP1P does not confer enzymatic activity nor is it involved in any known biological or disease process. It is not regarded as a therapeutic target in any context. The use of "PP1P" or "pyrophosphatase 1 pseudogene" as a target name is generally incorrect, unless specifically targeting pseudogene-associated regulatory phenomena, which is not currently supported by the literature.
