R3HDM2 divergent transcript (R3HDM2-DT) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed divergently from the protein-coding R3H domain containing 2 (R3HDM2) locus on chromosome 12q13.3. R3HDM2-DT does not encode a protein but is instead an RNA gene that may play a role in the regulation of its neighboring gene, R3HDM2, or in other regulatory processes. There is currently no evidence that R3HDM2-DT serves as a direct therapeutic target (receptor, enzyme, transporter, etc.), nor is there validated information on its specific biological functions, involvement in diseases, drug interactions, or use as a biomarker. Its primary characterization is being a divergent, non-coding RNA transcript that is likely involved in *cis* or *trans* gene regulation, as is common for many lncRNAs[2][3].
