Overview

RAB11B antisense RNA 1 (RAB11B-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA overlapping the RAB11B gene in antisense orientation. It is notable as a naturally occurring SINEUP molecule, with functional domains essential for upregulating RAB11B protein translation in human neuronal progenitors and other cell types. RAB11B-AS1's expression is sensitive to CHD8 levels, which are important for neurodevelopment and associated with autism risk.
