RAB43 pseudogene 1 is a non-protein-coding sequence in the human genome that shares homology with the functional RAB43 gene. As a pseudogene, it is thought to be transcriptionally inactive or nonfunctional, though pseudogenes can sometimes participate in regulatory mechanisms such as acting as decoys for microRNAs or generating non-coding RNAs[5].
