Target intelligence / Profile preview
Rabies virus glycoprotein (RABV-G) epitope III is a linear epitope located between amino acids 330–338 of the RABV-G protein. It is a major antigenic site recognized by neutralizing monoclonal antibodies and plays a significant role in inducing protective immunity against rabies infection. Antibodies targeting epitope III are highly effective at neutralizing rabies virus. Changes within this region can affect antibody binding and potentially alter viral pathogenicity or immune escape mechanisms.
