Target intelligence / Profile preview
RACK1 pseudogene 1 (RACK1P1) is a non-coding segment of DNA classified as a pseudogene, meaning it is a defective copy of the parent gene (RACK1) and lacks the ability to produce a functional protein. Unlike the authentic RACK1 gene, which encodes a critical scaffolding and ribosomal protein involved in signal transduction, protein synthesis, and various cellular processes, the RACK1P1 pseudogene is not transcribed or translated into a functional product. Therefore, it has no known biological function, disease role, or therapeutic relevance.
