RACK1 pseudogene 2 (RACK1P2)

RACK1P2, or RACK1 pseudogene 2, is a non-functional genomic copy related to the RACK1 gene, which encodes a multi-functional scaffolding protein involved in a range of cellular processes including protein anchoring, ribosome association, and signaling pathway integration[1][2]. Unlike functional RACK1—which is implicated in cell proliferation, migration, various signaling pathways, and disease development—RACK1P2 is considered a pseudogene and is not known to encode a functional protein, participate in biological processes, or serve as a pharmacological target.
