RAD23 homolog B pseudogene 1 (RAD23BP1) is a human pseudogene that is related in sequence to the functional RAD23B gene, which encodes a protein involved in nucleotide excision repair and ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation[5][6]. However, unlike its functional counterpart, RAD23BP1 does not code for a protein and has no known physiological or clinical significance. There is no evidence that RAD23BP1 acts as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or disease modifier.
