Overview

RALGPS2 antisense RNA 1 (RALGPS2-AS1, also known as lnc-ANGPTL1-3) is a long non-coding antisense transcript located opposite the RALGPS2 gene locus[4]. Antisense RNAs are known to play key roles in the regulation of gene expression, often at the epigenetic or transcriptional level, by mechanisms including transcriptional interference and modulation of chromatin structure[2]. While many antisense lncRNAs are being investigated for their roles in diseases—particularly cancer—no specific functional or disease associations have been definitively reported for RALGPS2-AS1 as of this search. There are currently no drugs known to interact with RALGPS2-AS1, and it is not considered a validated therapeutic target in pharmacology or clinical development[4][2].
