Overview

RAP1B pseudogene refers to a non-functional segment of DNA with sequence similarity to the RAP1B gene, a member of the Ras family of small GTPases. Unlike the functional RAP1B gene (which is involved in cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and has roles in cancer progression)[3][2][5], the pseudogene does not produce a functional protein and has no established role in molecular signaling or as a therapeutic target[1].
