Ras homolog gene family member A

Molecular classification
Small GTPase
01

Overview

Ras homolog gene family member A (RHOA) is a small GTPase protein belonging to the Rho family of GTPases. It is a molecular switch that cycles between an inactive GDP-bound state and an active GTP-bound state, playing a central role in regulating various cellular processes, including actin cytoskeleton dynamics, cell cycle progression, and transcriptional regulation. Aberrant RHOA activity is implicated in cancer and other diseases.
