RAS protein activator like 3 (RASAL3)

RAS protein activator like 3 (RASAL3) is an enzyme in the Ras GTPase-activating protein family that negatively regulates the Ras signaling pathway by accelerating the hydrolysis of GTP bound to Ras, inactivating Ras proteins. It contains several domains, including pleckstrin homology (PH), C2, and RasGAP domains, and localizes near or at the plasma membrane. RASAL3 is important in immune cell (natural killer T cell) expansion and function, and reduced expression is linked to increased Ras activity. Dysregulation of RASAL3 is implicated in certain proliferative and developmental disorders, including epiphyseal dysplasia and various cancers[1][3].
