Overview

Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 3 pseudogene (ENSG00000218766), also known as LOC100133102, is a genomic sequence resembling the functional RAC3 (Rho family, small GTP binding protein Rac3) gene but is classified as a pseudogene. Pseudogenes do not encode functional proteins and are generally considered non-coding genomic elements, though in some cases, they can participate in gene regulation via non-coding RNA mechanisms. This pseudogene is not actively targeted in therapeutic approaches and does not serve as a biomarker or have any reported disease associations. The functional RAC3 gene is a GTPase involved in cytoskeletal dynamics and tumor biology, but this relation does not apply to the pseudogene itself[3][6].
