Ras-related protein Rab-11A (RAB11A) is a small GTPase that plays a key role in regulating intracellular membrane trafficking, particularly in endocytic recycling and vesicle transport. It acts as a molecular switch, cycling between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states, influencing various cellular processes including immune response, epithelial polarity, cilia growth, and cancer cell behavior. RAB11A interacts with several proteins including FIPs, MYO5B, Dynein, ARF4 and WDR44 and its activity is linked to WNT and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways.
