Ras-related protein Rab-19 (RAB19) is a member of the small GTPase Rab subfamily within the RAS oncogene superfamily. RAB19 functions as a key regulator of intracellular membrane trafficking, facilitating the formation and fusion of transport vesicles with membranes. It is predicted to participate in autophagosome assembly and intracellular protein transport, and may be located at the plasma membrane and synaptic vesicle membrane. While its molecular class and functional roles align with well-characterized trafficking proteins, no drugs or direct disease associations have yet been reported for RAB19 specifically[1][2][6][8].
