RBBP4 pseudogene 4 (RBBP4P4) is a non-coding pseudogene related by sequence to the RBBP4 gene, which encodes retinoblastoma-binding protein 4. Unlike the parent RBBP4 gene—an evolutionarily conserved histone-binding and chromatin remodeling protein with well-characterized roles in cell cycle regulation, epigenetic modification, and cancer—the pseudogene RBBP4P4 does not encode a functional protein and has no described biological function, therapeutic relevance, or disease association.
