RBM19 antisense RNA 1 (RBM19-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene found in the human genome, characterized by being transcribed from the antisense strand in the region of the protein-coding gene RBM19[1]. Like other antisense lncRNAs, RBM19-AS1 is presumed to be involved in the regulation of its sense gene, though its specific transcript function, biological roles, or clinical significance have not been elucidated or associated with any disorder. Antisense lncRNAs broadly participate in regulating gene expression through RNA hybridization, epigenetic mechanisms, and the modulation of messenger RNA stability, with growing relevance to human health and disease[2][8].
