Rearranged L-myc fusion pseudogene (ENSG00000250515; also known as AC116353.4) is classified as a pseudogene in the human genome and does not encode a functional protein product[1][3][6]. The term "fusion" in its name refers to its sequence relationship to the functional Rearranged L-myc fusion gene (RLF), which produces a zinc finger protein involved in transcriptional regulation in functional homologs—the pseudogene itself, however, has no known biological or clinical function in humans[1][3][6]. This gene is not considered a therapeutic target, has no established disease roles, and lacks any known interacting drugs or clinical biomarker applications. There is often confusion between the *rearranged L-myc fusion gene (RLF)* (a protein-coding gene in other species, such as mouse, with described roles in epigenetic regulation and transcriptional control[4][7][9]) and the *rearranged L-myc fusion pseudogene* in humans (ENSG00000250515), which is a non-functional genomic element[1][3][6]. The human ENSG00000250515 is not a drug target and has no established pathophysiological or therapeutic relevance.
